Insurance experts with a passion for giving back are being asked to share their altruistic endeavours as the search continues for Canada’s most philanthropic professional.

The call-out comes as we creep ever closer to this year’s Insurance Business Awards – where one worthy winner will receive the accolade for Philanthropy and Community Service.

The award celebrates the outstanding contribution of time, leadership and financial support of a brokerage which sets a new benchmark of excellence in the acts of giving and volunteering.

Director of the event, Chris Davis, told IB that the award is open to any individual or organization that has made a meaningful impact – whether that’s on the local, national or international scale.

“There is no shortage of insurance professionals who develop creative campaigns and initiatives in order to improve the community in which we live,” he told IB. “Now, it’s time we recognized those professionals who are setting an example and leading the way for others in the industry.”

Nominations for the Philanthropy and Community Service Award are now open and industry professionals are being encouraged to nominate themselves or someone else who may be deserving of the esteemed award.

Nominations close on September 20, 2016 with the Insurance Business Awards gala to follow on November 30, 2016.
