Cybersecurity company eSentire announced yesterday that it has expanded the role of current chairman of the board of directors Nick Lantuh.

As executive chairman, Lantuh “will provide strategic and operational leadership in eSentire’s continual efforts towards driving growth, market expansion, and industry leadership”, a release said.

Lantuh had held the role of chairman of the board of directors since 2013. He has more than two decades of leadership experience and was the founder and president of NetWitness Corporation, in 2006. Under his administration, NetWitness took 21st on the 2010 Inc. 500 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies in the US, and first for Inc.’s Fastest Growing Software Company in the US. NetWitness was acquired by EMC in 2011.

Prior to creating NetWitness, Lantuh had led sales efforts in other start-ups in the endpoint security, network security, optical networking, and wireless industries. Many of these operations saw IPO and multiple acquisitions to major companies like Cisco, EMC, McAfee, and Ceridian.

“Since joining eSentire as chairman of the board, Nick has been instrumental in contributing to our strategic direction and will remain so while we continue experiencing explosive growth,” said eSentire CEO J. Paul Haynes.

Lantuh holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Business. He also serves as a member of multiple other boards, both corporate and non-profit.
