Insurance Business Canada has won a prestigious online publishing award for its work in the digital space.

The Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPAs) awarded Insurance Business the silver medal for Best Blog or Column during a ceremony on Monday night, held at the Double Tree Hilton in Toronto.

And Insurance Business was in good company – other winners this year include the Toronto Star, Huffington Post and Vice Canada.

The COPAs, which celebrate digital excellence, are open to any company or organization producing digital content in Canada, including media publishers, non-profits, and advertising agencies.

The 2016 COPAs were judged by a wide-ranging panel of media experts that included Noel Hulsman, managing editor of features for Yahoo Canada, Andrew Lundy, VP of digital at The Canadian Press, and Brandon Knox of Morningstar.ca.

Tim Duce, president and CEO of KMI Publishing Events – the publisher behind Insurance Business – said he was delighted with the accolade, adding: “This award is a great testament to our commitment to engaging our growing readership, as well as our ongoing investment into expanding our digital reach – both here in Canada, and across the world.”
