Insurance study centre appoints RSA executive to board of directors

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has announced the appointment of RSA Canada executive John Elliott to its board of directors.

CSIO chairman and Travelers Canada vice president for strategic planning Steve Whitelaw made the announcement in a recent statement from the organization.

“With John’s expertise in (information technology) strategy and execution, I’m certain that he’ll add a lot of value and be a strong contributor as a director,” Whitelaw said in the statement.

Elliott is a senior vice president for IT and chief information officer at RSA Canada. He has more than two decades of experience in technology oversight in the financial services and insurance sectors. He has honed his skills serving with major insurers Aon and Allianz and pursued three Masters degrees in Ivy League institutions in the United States, among others.

“I’m excited to participate (in) the CSIO board and to have the opportunity to drive improved workflow efficiencies that will deliver real value to both brokers and consumers,” Elliott commented.
