One of the advantages in being one of North America’s leading insurers of art collections is being able to tap into that expertise – and share some insider knowledge on what it takes to build a collection.

AXA ART has joined Art Toronto as Official Art Insurer sponsor and will be a part of Canada’s leading international modern and contemporary art fair this year as it celebrates 15 years of offering works by leading artists while providing opportunities for new artists to be discovered.

Of interest to those clients looking to build an art collection – and nice nest egg – AXA ART’s Christiane Fischer will moderate a discussion with world-class collectors David Angelo, Beverly Creed, and Alan Schwartz who will share their personal reflections on what inspired them to collect and ultimately build great art collections.

“This panel discussion is just one way partners such as AXA ART support the growing Canadian art market,” says Susannah Rosenstock, Art Toronto’s Director, “offering a locale for fair attendees to gather information on building a collection and effectively caring for and insuring it.”

AXA ART’s day-to-day business activities involve supporting art collectors as they seek to properly care for and preserve objects of art through art insurance products and services. At the centre of the art insurance specialist’s activities is a team of fine art experts, assistants, claims professionals, policy processors, underwriters, and more.

“The art market brings with it complex realities which demand deep understanding of the global art environment,” says Christiane Fischer, President and CEO of AXA Art Americas. “Our presence at Art Toronto presents a welcome opportunity to celebrate the expertise and value of our world-wide team.”
