The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) has welcomed a new full partner to its Broker Identity Program.

Trisura is a special organization with a unique role and they are very aware that branding is critical,” said IBAC Chief Executive Officer Dan Danyluk. “Their support is most welcome.”

Launched 26 years ago, the mission of the Broker Identity Program is to promote the value and professionalism of the insurance broker to consumers, insurers and governments, says Danyluk, and it is a branding campaign for over 35,000 insurance brokers – of which Trisura Guarantee is now a part of.

“Trisura is a broker focused company because we recognize the value and importance an independent broker brings to the insurance process for insureds and carriers alike,” said Mike George, Trisura’s president and CEO. “We further believe IBAC plays a critical role in supporting this view and as such are honoured to become a full partner of the Broker Identity Program.”

The program’s centre-piece is the BIP symbol known as the BIPPER. The symbol captures the value that insurance brokers bring their clients: choice, coverage, security and peace of mind. By investing in the program, Trisura supports the campaign whose purpose is to raise awareness of the value of the insurance broker distribution network.

Founded in 1921, the IBAC is a federation of 11 provincial and regional associations of property and casualty insurance brokers across Canada. These associations represent approximately 35,000 insurance brokers in virtually every community across the country.
