Pleased that law enforcement and insurers are working together to rid the roads of fraudulent tow truck operators, one subscriber hopes that those who have been found guilty are never able to run the roads again.

“Now we need to have stiffer penalties for this type of behaviour,” wrote ‘Friendly Reader,’ making that our Comment of the Week in response to the article ‘Tow truck owner on the hook for fraud.’ “I say charge him and pull his business license so it is illegal for him to operate a towing company. Make it impossible for him to own and run a business again.”

The article drew praise from another reader, Elsie Young, who wrote “Good for Aviva. It’s about time someone took a stand.”
