Nominations are now open for the CIP Society’s 2016 Leadership Awards, the only national program of its kind that celebrates leadership among p&c professionals in Canada.

The National Leadership Awards program honours CIP Society graduates – the society represents more than 17,000 graduates of the Insurance Institute’s Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Programs -- many of whom are influencing how the p&c insurance industry is responding to key challenges and emerging issues today, such as changes in demographics and the manner in which we use data and technology. The program recognizes both the up and comers and those more well-known in their careers, with the Emerging Leader and Established Leader categories.

“The Insurance Institute is proud that the CIP Society’s National Leadership Awards has honoured 32 leaders to date – 14 Established and 18 Emerging leaders,” says Peter Hohman, president and CEO of The Insurance Institute of Canada. “Certainly, the industry has many more talented people worthy of recognition.”

The National Leadership Awards were launched in conjunction with the CIP Society’s 10th anniversary celebrations in 2008.

The annual awards recognize industry professionals making outstanding achievements within their organizations, the industry at large, and within their communities.

The nomination process is available online.
