Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (iA) announced that it has appointed a new member, Emma Griffin, to its board of directors.
Griffin has extensive experience in the field of investment banking services, particularly in the fields of securities and corporate finance. She is the co-founder of mid-market brokerage firm and investment bank Oriel Securities, which is based in London, England. Oriel Securities was ranked number one among brokerage firms in the United Kingdom in 2004.
She is also a co-founder of holding company Refined Selection, which invests in the recruitment and professional services sector.
The current iA Board of Directors is chaired by John LeBoutillier. It now includes 15 administrators, including 14 independent members. Notably, women make up 40% of the company’s board membership.
