CSIO appoints a new manager

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has brought in a new department manager for its technology and advisory services, and they are doing it with Grey Power.

Ian Ferenci has been tapped to be the Manager of Technology and Advisory Services in CSIO’s Toronto office.

According to this morning’s announcement, “Ian brings to CSIO a wealth of expertise in the areas of project management, business intelligence reporting and enterprise applications design & implementation.”

Having worked both in Canada and internationally, Ferenci has more than 16 years of experience in the financial services and telecom sectors where he held various roles in operations and information technology.

Prior to joining CSIO, Ferenci held the position of Manager, Business Planning and Analysis at Grey Power Insurance Brokers, a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation.   

Ferenci will be responsible for enhancing CSIO’s membership value proposition by overseeing the development of all leading-edge technology standards, solutions and process improvement initiatives.  

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Queens University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

CSIO is Canada’s industry association of property and casualty insurers, brokers and software providers, maintaining and operating the industry-owned EDI mail network service, CSIOnet.

CSIO maintains offices in Toronto and Montreal, and oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of technology standards and solutions such as eDocs, Telematics and eSignatures.
