Vehicle security is being taken to a new level by Cadillac’s new CT6 sedan. If the car’s alarm system is triggered cameras all around the car; the same ones used for parking sensors; begin taking images, creating a 360 degree picture of what’s set off the alarm. The images are stored inside the vehicle for later retrieval. The obvious flaw to the plan is that once thieves know where to find the image storage they could get to them first, although those breaking in but not removing the vehicle would not have time to do so. That said, the innovative technology could perhaps one day link to cloud storage creating a truly ingenious development in vehicle security.
